(The Service System and Transition)
This section provides user-friendly information on potential and desired
post-school outcomes. The discussion emphasizes what needs to occur while
the student is still in school in order to achieve those outcomes. Although
it is impossible to include all the information needed to reach every outcome,
this section is divided into seven areas and discusses and details the
most common services, resources, and examples. Each sub-section includes
a purpose (why the topic is being introduced), an introduction to a variety
of options, and a checklist for the areas of concern. The key areas include:
