What Inclusion Means

  • Educating children with disabilities in regular classroom regardless of the nature of their disabling condition.
  • Providing an appropriate individualized education program
  • providing all necessary educational services
  • Involving students with disabilities in age-appropriate academic classes and extracurricular activities including art, music gym, fieldtrips, assemblies and graduation exercises
  • Supporting regular education teachers and administrators by providing time, training, teamwork, resources and strategies
  • Students with disabilities use school cafeteria, library, playground and other facilities along with non-disabled students
  • School resources allocated to teach and provide opportunities for relationship building 
  • Teaching all children to understand and accept human differences
  • Providing all students enhanced opportunities to learn from each others contributions
  • Students with disabilities receive their education and job training in regular community environments
